Cheesy Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

1/4 c. melted butter
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 c. milk
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. cut, cooked asparagus
3/4 c. buttered breadcrumbs
Preparation

Combine butter and flour in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth.
Gradually stir milk into flour mixture; cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.
Add cheese and salt, stirring until cheese melts.
