Golden Empire Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/3 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. orange extract
Preparation
    Place a 16 x 11-inch sheet of aluminum foil on baking sheet. Fold sides up to make a 15 x 10 x 1/2-inch pan.
    Make a second pan. Sift together flour, baking powder and 3/4 cup sugar in small mixing bowl.
    Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar in large bowl until soft mounds form.
    Add 1/3 cup sugar, a tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff, straight peaks form.
    Do not underbeat!
