Gumdrops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 envelopes plain unflavored gelatin
    1 c. cold water
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    3 to 4 drops coloring
    flavoring of choice
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in 3/4 cup cold water.
    Mix remaining 1/4 cup water, sugar and corn syrup in saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
    Cook until soft ball stage (medium heat).
    Add gelatin; mix and stir over heat for 1 minute.
    Stir in color and flavorings.
    Set aside to cool.
