Porcupines (Hamburg Balls) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburg
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    salt and pepper to taste
    onion (if desired)
    1 can whole tomatoes
Preparation
    Mix hamburg, rice, salt and pepper and onion together.
    Form into balls.
    Brown and keep covered.
    Add 1/2 cup water and 1 can whole tomatoes.
    Simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
    Add more water, if needed.
