Giant Oatmeal Spice Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 tsp. ground allspice
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 tsp. finely ground black pepper
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 lb. unsalted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
    2 eggs
    3 c. quick cooking rolled oats
Preparation
    Sift flour with spices, salt and baking soda.
    Set aside. Cream butter; add vanilla, both sugars and beat until creamy. Add eggs and beat on low speed.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Stir in oats with a spoon.
    Line two cookie sheets with aluminum foil (shiny side down).
    Place 10 cookies on each sheet (1/4 cup each). Let stand 2 hours before baking.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Reverse sheets once during baking.
    Cookies are soft when done.
    Cool on racks.
