Angel Food - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. egg whites
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. cake flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with salt until frothy.
    Add cream of tartar; beat stiff, but not dry.
    Fold in sugar, 3 tablespoons at a time, then flour, which has been sifted once, then measured and sifted 3 more times.
    Lastly, add vanilla.
    Pour into angel food cake pan and bake at 300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
