Sausage Stuffing(For Turkey) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage, browned and drained
    1 medium yellow onion, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 c. raisins
    2 to 3 large red apples, peeled and chopped
    6 to 8 slices bread
    poultry seasoning to taste
Preparation
    Soak the bread in water for about 1/2 hour.
    Next, mix all prepared ingredients together, making sure the bread was well distributed with the other ingredients.
    Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.
    Stuff turkey and close skin.
    Bake as usual.
    Makes enough stuffing for a 12 to 16 pound turkey.
    Use a sage-flavored sausage for an extra flavor.
    This stuffing will help keep the turkey moist from the inside.
    Cut the recipe down to stuff a roasting hen or other bird.
    Any stuffing that will not fit inside the bird can be baked in a casserole until hot all the way through.
