Chicken A La King Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (5 oz.) pkg. medium noodles
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. shredded American cheese (about 6 oz.)
    1 c. slivered almonds (optional)
    minced onion (optional)
    4 to 6 saltine crackers
    2 c. cooked, diced chicken
    1 c. sliced celery
    1/4 c. diced green pepper
    1/4 c. diced pimiento
    margarine
Preparation
    Cook noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside.
    Saute celery, pepper and onion.
    Mix soup, milk and salt, stirring constantly.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Add to noodles, pour all into a buttered casserole.
    Top with crumbs (crush saltine crackers and mix with 2 tablespoons melted butter).
    Bake 30 minutes at 400\u00b0.
