Barbecued Spoonburgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. catsup
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3/4 c. water
    1 (3 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 tsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in hot shortening in skillet.
    Discard excess fat.
    Put all ingredients in slow cooker, stir thoroughly. Cover and cook on high 3 to 4 hours.
    Spoon into split, warmed hamburger buns or serve over noodles or rice.
    Serves 8 to 10.
