"Never Fail" Lemon Meringue Pie(Microwave) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. cold water
    1 tsp. pulverized lemon peel (zest)
    baked 8-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and butter in a 2-quart microwave bowl. Microwave on High setting about 3 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
    Mix cornstarch with cold water; stir into sugar and butter mixture. Cook in microwave for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir in lemon juice and lemon zest.
    Beat egg yolks with milk and stir slowly into cornstarch mixture.
    Return to microwave for 2 1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
    Cool and pour into pie shell.
