Ingredients

1 c. chicken base or stock
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 lb. peeled and sliced carrots
1 medium onion, sliced
Preparation

Steam onion and carrots separately in microwave or steamer until just tender.
Put chicken stock, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, onions and carrots in a pot.
Add cornstarch and bring to a boil until thickened.
Serve hot.
