Baked Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 pounds round steak, 1 inch thick
    1/2 C flour
    2 tsp salt
    2 to 3 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1 to 2 tbsp butter or margarine
    3 tbsp chopped onion
    brown sugar
    catsup
    dried basil
    1 tbsp butter, cut up
    1 C beef broth
    liquid smoke
Preparation
    Heat over to 350 degrees. Trim meat, cut into serving sized pieces. Pound to 1/2 inch thick with meat mallet. On a sheet of waxed paper, mix flour, salt and pepper. Dip steak in flour mixture, turn to coat.
