Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. cocoa
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar,\teggs,
    food
    coloring and cocoa together well.
    Sift together
    flour,
    baking
    soda
    and salt. Fold in buttermilk, vinegar
    and
    vanilla.\tGrease and flour 2 (8-inch) pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Cool cake for 10 minutes in pan, then remove and cool completely.
