Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. oil
1 c. flour
1 bunch celery
4 large onions
3 bunches green onions, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 pt. cut okra
3 pods garlic, chopped
6 qt. chicken stock
1 can tomato paste
1 can tomatoes
1 small bottle Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. hot sauce
1 bay leaf
dash of thyme
salt to taste
2 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
Preparation

Make roux with oil and flour, stirring constantly until dark brown.
Add celery, onions, bell pepper and garlic to roux and cook until tender.
Add roux and vegetables to stock and add okra. Add remaining ingredients and simmer.
Add shrimp about 10 minutes before serving.
Serve hot over rice.
Add gumbo file.
This recipe is also good using chicken.
