Ozark Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large egg
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. coarsely chopped, peeled apples
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine sugar and vanilla in bowl; beat until light and fluffy.
    Stir together flour, baking powder and salt; blend into egg mixture.
    Fold in nuts and fruit.
    Turn into buttered 9-inch square baking pan; bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
    Serve plain or topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
    Also excellent with vanilla pudding, hot or cold.
