Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    2 c. pecan chunks
    pinch of soda
    pinch of salt
    1/4 c. margarine (1/2 stick)
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except margarine.
    Cook until mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
    Add margarine and beat until thick and creamy.
    Drop by spoonful onto buttered waxed paper.
