Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt and baking soda
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. melted butter plus some for frying
Preparation

In large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat eggs with buttermilk and melted butter. Combine dry and wet ingredients; do not overmix. Heat butter in skillet over medium heat. Spoon 1/3 cup of batter into skillet. Cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Serve with whipped cream and syrup.
