Strawberry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 egg yolks, beaten
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. cornstarch
    pinch of salt
    4 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 stick oleo
    1 small box vanilla wafers
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 large Cool Whip
Preparation
    Beat eggs and add 1 cup of the sugar.
    Mix until smooth.
    Add cornstarch and 1/2 cup milk.
    Now add the rest of the sugar, milk and salt.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
    Set off and add oleo and vanilla.
    Let cool.
