Lipton Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. boneless steak
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
    2 c. water
    2 green peppers, cut in strips
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cut meat into thin strips 2 inches long.
    In a large skillet, heat shortening and brown meat, turning frequently.
    Stir in soup mix and water.
    Cover.
    Simmer 30 minutes.
    Stir in peppers and simmer 10 more minutes or until meat is done.
    Blend cornstarch with water; stir into skillet.
    Cook while stirring until thickened.
    This is good served with rice.
    Serves 4 to 6.
