Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. hot water
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 pkg. RapidRise yeast
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    1 egg
    3 1/2 to 4 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients; stir well.
    Let shortening dissolve.
    Sprinkle yeast in warm water; let stand about 5 to 10 minutes, then add to first mixture.
    Put well beaten egg into mixture.
    Add mixture to flour; mix well, etc.
    Let rise, as desired, and bake at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until brown. Makes 2 dozen.
