Crispy Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 1/2 lb. sliced cucumbers
2 gal. water
2 c. household lime
2 gal. water
4 oz. powdered alum
2 Tbsp. ginger
4 lb. sugar (8 c.)
4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. mace
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
Preparation

Add cucumbers and bring to full boil; boil for 1 minute.
Pack in jars.
