Pocketbook Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter or shortening
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients together.
    Mix in shortening.
    Add milk, all at one time, then mix until all ingredients form balls. Knead lightly 2 or 3 minutes.
    Roll 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut with floured 2-inch biscuit cutter.
    Fold double and press edges together.
    Brush tops with melted butter.
    Cover; let rise in warm place for 20 minutes.
    Bake in hot oven (425\u00b0) for 10 minutes. Again, brush with butter and bake another 5 to 10 minutes.
