Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oil
    1 large can stewed tomatoes
    1 can whole kernel corn
    1 1/2 c. cornmeal mix
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    salt and pepper
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    12 pitted black olives (optional)
Preparation
    In large saucepan, put 1/2 cup oil and heat slowly.
    Add tomatoes, corn and liquid from corn.
    Add cornmeal mix and stir. Cover and cook slowly for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    In a frypan, put 1/2 cup oil.
    Saute garlic and onion; add meat and brown with salt, pepper and chili powder.
    Combine cornmeal mixture.
    Add olives.
    Bake mixture in a 9 x 13-inch greased casserole dish at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
