Sweet Rolls - cooking recipe

1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. milk, scalded
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 c. flour
1 egg
Preparation

Soften yeast in water.
Combine milk, sugar, Crisco and salt. Cool to lukewarm.
Add 1 cup of flour and beat well.
Beat in softened yeast and egg.
Gradually add remaining flour to form soft dough.
Cover and let rise until double (1 1/2 hours).
Turn out on lightly floured surface and punch down.
Divide in half. In 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan, mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup butter and 1 tablespoon corn syrup, stirring slowly.
Roll 1/2 of dough into a 12 x 8-inch rectangle.
Brush with 3 tablespoons of soft butter. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
