Mom'S Luxemburger Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium size can tomatoes
1/4 lb. bacon
1 medium onion
1/2 pkg. green split peas
2 to 3 carrots, chopped
2 to 3 stalks celery, chopped
water
Preparation

Dice bacon and onion.
Fry until brown and crisp.
Add water to cover and add celery and carrots.
Cook slowly until tender. Cook slowly split peas separately.
Add to bacon and vegetable mixture.
Add canned tomatoes and cook until boiling.
Stir often as it sticks after peas are added.
Lower heat as soon as it boils and simmer slowly to get full flavor.
