Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. Crisco or butter
3/4 c. milk
Preparation
-
Mix dry ingredients together.
Cut
in Crisco or butter as for pie dough.
Stir in milk.
Sprinkle
a
surface lightly with flour and knead 20 to 25 times.
Divide
dough
in
half. Roll
or
pat half of dough into a
9-inch
round
cake
pan. Spread with melted butter.
Roll or pat
remainder of dough on top of butter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15
to
20
minutes
or until golden brown.
Remove and pour
sweetened, sliced strawberries on top and in center
of dough.
Serve with milk, ice cream or whipped cream.
