Greek Island Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 stick melted butter
    2 1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. white syrup
    1/2 c. Pet milk
    1/2 stick butter
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt butter and pour over nuts; set aside.
    Mix together sugar, syrup, Pet milk and butter.
    Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Add nut mixture.
    Bring to a boil again and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat, add vanilla and beat until gloss begins to leave and mixture thickens.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper to cool.
