Pappy And Grandma Baer'S Mincemeat - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef or venison
1 lb. pan puddings
6 heaping c. ground apples
2 ground oranges
spices to taste (approximately 2 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. nutmeg)
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. can crushed pineapple
3/4 to 1 c. brown sugar
1 jar bought mincemeat with rum
cider to moisten (2 to 4 c.)
Preparation

Cook meat, mashing into fine pieces.
Add other ingredients. Cook/simmer several hours.
Add thickening (cornstarch or cleargel, if necessary), if you've added more cider than necessary.
Add anything else from refrigerator, such as leftover fruit, cranberry salad, etc.
Freeze leftovers for pie making all winter.
