Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese or Velveeta
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    5 medium potatoes, sliced thin
    2 small onions (yellow), sliced or minced
Preparation
    Preheat oven at 350\u00b0.
    In 2-quart saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
    Blend in flour.
    Add milk at once.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
    Add shredded cheese, salt and pepper.
    Continue cooking and stirring until cheese melts. Remove from heat.
    Spread 1/2 cheese sauce in bottom of a shallow 2 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Arrange potatoes and onions over cheese sauce.
    Then make layers with potatoes and onions, topping with remaining cheese sauce, spreading evenly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until potatoes are done.
