Savory Sauerkraut - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 No. 303 can Bush's Best shredded kraut
1 tart apple, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
salt and pepper
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in saucepan.
Cover and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
Makes 4 to 5 servings.
