Caramel Popcorn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. popcorn
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. dark brown sugar
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. soda
    2/3 c. red skinned peanuts
Preparation
    Remove old maids from popcorn and keep warm in a 250\u00b0 oven while syrup is cooking.
    Combine butter, brown sugar, salt and corn syrup.
    Bring to boil and cook 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and soda.
    Pour syrup over popcorn and nuts. Stir mixture gently to mix.
    Then separate out and pour on 2 large baking sheets and place in oven at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Stir every 15 minutes.
    Store in airtight containers.
