Fannie Date Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 pkg. chopped dates
    1 bottle lime juice
Preparation
    Combine sugar and milk in saucepan; stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Add dates; cook to soft ball stage.
    Turn candy onto cold damp towel; roll towel around candy and refrigerate for several hours.
    Shape candy into balls.
    Dip into lime juice and roll in sugar.
