Cabbage Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. shredded cabbage
    2 c. shredded carrots
    1/2 c. onions, chopped
    3/4 c. cold water
    1 envelope gelatin
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. vinegar
    2/3 c. Wesson oil
    1 green pepper, diced
Preparation
    Mix cabbage, carrots, green pepper and onions.
    Sprinkle with 1/4 cup water and chill.
    Soften gelatin in 1/2 cup water.
    Mix celery seed, black pepper, salt, sugar and vinegar.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cool and when slightly thickened, beat in oil.
    Drain vegetables and mix with dressing.
    Will store long time in refrigerator.
