Super Simple Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (7 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni (2 c. uncooked)
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. smoked sausage, sliced, quartered and cooked
    1 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
    1/2 c. shredded carrot
    4 green onions with tops, sliced
    6 c. prepared chicken or beef broth
    1 tsp. Beau Monde seasoning
    1/4 tsp. coarse ground pepper
    1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
    2 to 3 drops hot sauce
Preparation
    Prepare macaroni according to package directions.
    Drain.
    In large kettle, cook sausage, cabbage, carrot and green onions just until vegetables are tender.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir in macaroni and heat through.
    Serves 6.
