Cherry Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour, sifted
1 c. stoned cherries, cut into pieces
1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening.
Add eggs and sour milk.
Sift all dry ingredients together; beat in part of dry ingredients before adding cherries and nuts.
Makes 2 layers.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Use cherry juice for frosting instead of milk.
