Tender Biscotti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. anise seed, soaked in 2 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. oleo
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    5 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    6 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix oleo and sugar, adding 1 egg at a time with electric mixer.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Mixture will be soft.
    Oil hands and shape into loaves about 2-inches wide and 1-inch high. Place in greased cookie sheet (3 rolls).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Remove from oven and slice about 1/2-inch thick.
    Lay on sides back on cookie sheet.
    Bake about 6 minutes on each side at 350\u00b0.
    (One cup walnuts is optional.)
