Mrs. Fisk'S Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck green tomatoes, chopped
    1 qt. Bermuda onions, chopped
    salt
    vinegar to cover
    3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cloves
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    In a large kettle, mix the tomatoes, onions and salt and let stand overnight.
    Drain mixture; put back into kettle and add the remaining ingredients; cook over medium heat until boiling.
    Boil for 5 to 10 minutes and put into hot, sterilized pint jars and cover to seal.
