Mushroom Croustade - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf unsliced white or Vienna bread
    2 lb. mushrooms
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    1/2 c. whipping cream
    4 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 medium shallot
Preparation
    Slice your bread into 2-inch slices.
    Trim the crust, pull the center out of the bread, leaving the bottom intact.
    You will be left with a flat bottomed \"cup\" of bread.
    Your mushrooms will cover any imperfections.
    Brush each bread croustade with a tablespoon of the melted butter.
    Put into a 350\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes, watching carefully until they just turn a golden color around the edges and are slightly toasted.
