Geri'S Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
    1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
    3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 qt. sour cream
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    1 can cherry pie filling (optional)
Preparation
    Blend first 2 ingredients and 1/4 cup sugar.
    Press firmly against bottom and 2 1/2 inches up side of spring-form pan.
    Beat cream cheese until fluffy.
    Gradually add remaining sugar and vanilla extract.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Blend in sour cream. Spread in prepared pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 70 minutes or until firm.
    Turn oven off.
    Leave oven door ajar and allow cheese cake to stay in oven for 1 hour.
    Chill overnight.
    Top with canned cherries before serving.
