Applesauce Meatballs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground pork
1 lb. ground chuck
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. parsley
1 1/2 c. toasted bread crumbs
1/2 c. applesauce
1 small garlic clove, grated
1 tsp. celery salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
4 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 can consomme, undiluted
Preparation

Thoroughly, but lightly mix together all ingredients, except flour, shortening and consomme.
Form into 1-inch balls.
Roll in flour to coat lightly and brown in hot fat.
Place in baking dish, using all drippings and add consomme.
Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes.
Thicken gravy; serve over noodles. Serves 8.
