Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium Vidalia onions, sliced 1/4-inch thick
    1 stick margarine
    12 saltine crackers, crushed
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Melt margarine over medium heat.
    Saute onions until clear and tender.
    Grease a 2-quart casserole (8 x 11 x 2-inch).
    Line dish with crushed cracker crumbs, reserving 3 tablespoons.
    Alternately add undiluted cream of mushroom soup and onions.
    Pour beaten eggs on top.
    Pour milk on top of the eggs.
    Sprinkle grated cheese next, then sprinkle the reserved cracker crumbs.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
