Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. (about a dozen) shucked large raw oysters
    1 c. oyster liquor
    3 c. whole milk
    1 c. heavy cream
    1 slice from large onion, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 bay leaf (optional)
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1/3 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    chopped chives (optional)
Preparation
    Drain oysters and reserve liquor.
    Dice oysters into a saucepan.
    Add liquor and slowly bring to a boil.
    Immediately remove pan from heat.
