Polish Cabbage Soup Or Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. water
    3 sliced carrots
    2 medium chopped onions
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    2 lb. stew beef, diced
    1 small head shredded cabbage
    1/2 c. ketchup
    1 tsp. vinegar
    4 Tbsp. sour cream
Preparation
    In 6 cups of water, simmer for 1 hour the next 6 ingredients. Add cabbage, ketchup, vinegar and sour cream; simmer 1 hour more. Add more water if needed.
    Serve topped with sour cream.
    Serves 6.
