Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced, pared tart apples (Jonathan medium)
    3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. oats
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
    1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch square pan. Place apples in bottom of pan.
    Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly.
    Put on top of apples.
    Bake 30 minutes until tender and topping is golden brown.
    Serve warm with ice cream.
