Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1/3 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. diced carrots
    2 cloves garlic, diced
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. cream-style corn
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped red and green bell pepper
    1/2 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Sift together and mix thoroughly in a large bowl the first 6 ingredients.
    Combine and stir into dry ingredients the rest of the ingredients only until the mixture is well moistened.
    Pour into a greased 9-inch square pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Cool before cutting.
    This is one of my family's favorites!
