Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 to 5 lb. hamburger or ground round
1 to 2 qt. water
4 lb. potatoes
1 lb. carrots
1 head cabbage
2 qt. tomatoes with juice
2 qt. tomato juice
3 (16 oz.) cans peas, drained
3 (16 oz.) cans corn, drained
2 large onions, chopped
1 qt. green beans (canned)
1 1/2 green peppers
1 c. uncooked barley
2 c. cooked macaroni
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Cook hamburger; drain, rinse and drain again.
Add water and rest of ingredients, except macaroni.
Simmer until potatoes and carrots are tender, but firm.
Add macaroni and simmer for 30 minutes.
