Lamb Kabobs And Cucumber With Yogurt Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 lb. lean boneless lamb (preferably from leg), cut in 24 cubes
    1/4 c. oil
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. grated onion
    2 tsp. finely chopped ginger
    1 tsp. finely chopped garlic
    1/2 tsp. each: ground turmeric, coriander or cumin
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/8 tsp. cayenne
    hot cooked rice (optional)
Preparation
    Combine lamb with remaining ingredients, except rice.
    Preheat broiler to high.
    When ready to broil, divide lamb among 4 skewers.
    Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat source, turning to cook evenly, about 10 minutes.
    Serve with rice.
    Makes 4 servings.
