Fresh Strawberries And Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 pt. strawberries (Annette usually prepares a gal.)
1 1/2 c. sugar or more to taste
1 angel food cake (store-bought or homemade)

Preparation

Wash the strawberries and remove the stems.
Place in a large bowl.
Add the sugar on top.
Refrigerate mixture for 2 days until the strawberries form their own syrup.
Remove strawberries.
