Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. lard
    1 tsp. vanilla
    milk
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients with finger tips, adding just enough milk to make dough stiff enough to be rolled out thin.
    Then sprinkle with sugar.
    Cut out with knife into squares or with a glass to make rounds.
    Place on baking sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 about 10 minutes, or until brown.
