Curry Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 medium cucumbers, cut in 1-inch chunks
    1/2 c. salt
    8 c. water
    1 tsp. curry powder
    2 c. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Wash and drain cucumbers.
    Combine salt and water.
    Pour over cucumbers and let stand 5 hours.
    Drain; rinse thoroughly.
    Combine remaining ingredients.
    Add cucumbers.
    Heat until boiling.
    Pack in sterilized pint jars.
    Water bath jars in boiling water for 20 minutes.
